Typography Tips for Flyers

A great flyer lives or dies by its typography. The first rule is hierarchy: your headline should grab attention from across the room, your subhead should pull people in closer, and your body copy should be easy to scan for key details. Stick to two fonts at most, and make sure there is enough contrast between heading and body weights. Avoid centring large blocks of text because it makes reading slower and less comfortable. Finally, always leave plenty of whitespace. Clutter is the enemy of comprehension, and a flyer that is trying to say everything usually ends up saying nothing at all.
