When we started Glow Apothecary, most of what we could buy locally was either imported at painful markups or formulated for completely different skin types and climates. Both were frustrating for different reasons. The import stuff was priced for a foreign market. The local stuff often relied on outdated formulations or ingredients that did not account for the humidity, the sun, or the pigmentation profiles we were working with.
